Rehoboth Beach was lovely. Most of the hotels, restaurants and shops were independent and it had a real retro seaside feel. We stayed in the Atlantis Inn which was about a 5 minute walk from the beach. The beach was busy but because it was so big it didn't feel crowded. Chris swam in the sea and the rest of us had a paddle. We saw dolphins again, they gave us a bit of show and jumped out of the water when a boat went past.

All of the restaurants looked brilliant but we finally picked a seafood restaurant called Blue for dinner on Saturday evening. The food was great and I had the best dessert that I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was Mississippi Mud pie with melted marshmallow and vanilla ice cream, GORGEOUS! Everyone was very jealous that they hadn't ordered it and it was so good I only let them have a little taste before eating it all myself!
A few minutes drive from the beach is a huge discount shopping outlet. It was amazing. It was so big it was split into 3 parts and you had to drive between them. We went to one area on Saturday and one on Sunday but were too worn out to go to the the third so I hope we didn't miss much. We've been to these shopping outlets before but the the added bonus with this one is that there is no sales tax in Delaware so everything was even cheaper than normal.
The drive back to DC took us less than 2.5 hours so as long as we make sure we leave early on the Saturday morning it's not far to come to for a weekend at the beach so we'll be back again soon!
