Washington is famous for it's Cherry Blossom trees they're supposed to be an amazing sight but this year they've arrived a bit early. I went to go and have a look at them earlier in the week and they'd just about finished. We'll have to wait until next year to see them now. Instead I went for a walk to the Lincoln Memorial and then went and cooled down in the Hirschorn Museum.
There is an estate near our apartment called Kenwood. Every house is huge and probably worth a few million dollars and all the streets are lined with blossom trees so it looks beautiful at the moment. We walked there on Saturday and it was a bit strange to see a normally quiet housing estate with loads of people walking around and a steady stream of cars driving around. The residents seem to enjoy the attention and kids had set up little stores at the end of their drives selling lemonade, cookies and cupcakes.
