Cherry Blossom in Washington

This year, Washington's famous Cherry Blossom trees are 100.  We had never managed to see them at peak blooming time before so this year I was determined to make it down there.  I kept an eye on the reports and luckily we were free on Wednesday evening which was due to be the best day to see them.  We had to wait until after work so we didn't get there until 6.30pm when the sun was starting to go down so after about the first 10 minutes the light wasn't great for photos but we still had a lovely walk around the tidal basin.

After our walk we drove to Capitol Hill and stopped off at Good Stuff Eatery for a burger and a toasted marshmallow shake, mmmmm!
