Trucko De Mayo

Last Saturday we went to Trucko de Mayo.  The festival was a great opportunity to try out some of the food trucks that park all over the DC area, all in one hit.

Chris and I started off with a stop at Rolls on Rolls where I had a samosa and Chris had an amazing chicken masala wrapped in naan bread and a samosa.  We met up with some friends before stopping for our next course, a mixed platter of teriyaki steak, pork and chicken from a Hawaiian style truck called Hula Girl.

Chris took a break then and cleansed his palate with a orange cream popsicle from Pleasant Pops before tucking into a chicken pot pie from Dangerously Delicious Pies.  We finished up at That Cheesecake Truck where we bought some mini cheesecakes to take home.

The truck with the biggest queue was TaKorean, people must have been waiting in line for over an hour to get food from there.  It sounded really good but there was no way that we were going to wait for that long.
